What Is Galentines Day?
Galentines Day is that very special day dedicated not to couples, but to the unbreakable bond that can only be found between females. That’s right! Galentines Day is all about female friendship. Celebrated on February 13, it was started 13 years ago by none other than Leslie Knope, a fictional TV series character.
In season 2, episode 16 of Parks and Rec, which aired in 2010, Leslie gets a group of her girlfriends together for a waffle brunch. She explains, “Every February 13, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home and we just come and kick it, breakfast style. Ladies celebrating ladies.”

What Do You Do on Galentines Day?
While Leslie Knope treated her friends to brunch, Galentine’s Day is really just about spending time with your friends and showing how much you love and appreciate each other. So…do anything you want!
