Most months have only one birthstone but the month of June has three; Pearl, Alexandrite and Moonstone.  Style Dots has chosen to offer the Pearl option and actually offers you two varieties of this enchanting June birthstone, Classic Pearl and Pearlized looks.

The Classic Pearl is a timeless wardrobe staple, beloved by women of all ages and deemed most intriguing since ancient times. It is known for its soft luster and smooth polished surface.  Light plays over the surface of these highly-favored gems and gives them mysterious shadings and shadows that adds to their intrigue.  Pearls have long been associated with purity, humility and innocence.  As such, pearls were traditionally given as a wedding gift.

Pearlescent jewelry, on the other hand, shows off a fascinating iridescence that changes as you move or when light strikes them from different angles.  When worn in your Style Dots Foundations such as Earrings, Rings, Bracelets and Necklaces, you’ll give off some spectacular shimmers of rainbow-like light. We also suggest our Shell Dots that offer the many-hued gleams from the mother-of-pearl characteristics of these naturally sourced pieces.

In the photo above, the model is wearing the White Shell Statement Dot in a Classic Link Statement Necklace, Pearlized Teardrop Accents on Classic Original Oval Hoop Earrings and a Classic 3-Dot Toggle Bracelet shown with the following Dots; a Classic Pearl, a White Jessica that features Aurora Borealis crystals and a Pearlized Couture, all in the Original size.

Since pearls are considered a soft gem, they should be stored separately from any other gemstones and metal jewelry to prevent scratching.  Never store your pearl birthstones in a plastic bag — plastic can emit a chemical that will damage their surface. Always apply perfume, hair products and cosmetics before putting on your pearl jewelry. The best way to clean your June birthstone is to use a soft, damp cloth, ideally after each time the pearls are worn.

Even if you were not born in June, go ahead and indulge yourself with a lovely Pearl jewelry wardrobe, you’ll appear so fashionable and chic when you wear these timeless and enchanting gemstones.
